How the ecosystem works for students, parents, individual teachers, organizations and Super Admin — including onboarding, unique codes, operations and trust.
Product
Is EtDUCATION a Learning Management System?
No. EtDUCATION is an education management ecosystem. It connects students, parents, individual teachers and organizations, then adds governed operations — hierarchy, attendance, leave, fees, communication, feedback and engagement — rather than stopping at content delivery.
Who is EtDUCATION for?
Schools, colleges and institutions; groups of schools or colleges; personal coaching setups (indicatively grades 2–6); independent teachers; and students and parents who need to discover and join teachers or organizations.
What is in Phase 1, and what is not?
Phase 1 covers Super Admin governance, organization onboarding, hierarchy, affiliated and individual teachers, students and parents, learning content, attendance, leave, fees, announcements, security settings, teacher feedback, points/engagement and student referrals. Community Building and a points-redemption marketplace are out of scope for Phase 1.
Personas & access
Which channels does each persona use?
The mobile app is for Individual Teachers, Students, Parents and organization-affiliated teachers. The web portal is for Organization Admins. Super Admin uses web for platform governance.
Can an individual teacher use it without joining a school?
Yes. Individual Teachers are a first-class persona. They sign up themselves, receive a unique Teacher Code, create batches and approve students. No organization affiliation and no Super Admin approval is required for this flow.
How do students find and join a class?
Students search teacher-wise or organization-wise, then join with a system-generated unique code for the organization, teacher or batch. Individual Teacher batches require the teacher to approve the join request before content is visible in My Class.
What can a parent see?
Parents are primarily view-oriented. After linking via a student access code they can switch between linked students and view that student’s class, attendance, fees and announcements, and submit eligible teacher feedback. They do not manage academic content or batch joining on the student’s behalf.
Can one parent be linked to more than one student?
Yes. A parent account can link to multiple student accounts, then switch between them. Data belonging to one linked student is not shown while viewing another.
Organizations
How do organizations join?
From Join as Organization: email, organization name and type are submitted. Super Admin reviews, records plan discussion, and approves. The organization completes detail fill, pays via Razorpay, then Super Admin activates and issues credentials. Login is blocked until activation.
What organization types are supported?
College/School/Institution, Group of Colleges/Schools, or Personal Coaching. The type is captured at initial submission and retained after activation.
Can an organization self-activate?
No. An organization cannot self-activate. Activation requires explicit Super Admin approval and confirmed Razorpay payment. Temporary passwords are single-use and must be reset on first login.
How is the academic hierarchy structured?
Organization → Faculty (tagged) → Department (tagged) → Batch/Class → Teachers and Students. Each batch receives a system-generated unique code. Unit & campus is administered in the Organization Admin portal; its exact hierarchical placement is a business confirmation item.
Learning & operations
What learning content lives on a batch?
Notes, assignments, documents, quick quizzes, exams, class logs, uploaded video and live class (recorded for later playback). Content is visible only to members of that batch, and to linked parents in a view-oriented role.
How are fees collected?
Organizations track revenue across batches; individual teachers track fees for their own students. Students and linked parents see fee status. Online collection uses Razorpay. Specific plan prices are discussed during organization onboarding and are not published as fixed figures.
Does leave management apply to individual teachers?
Leave request, approval and history as documented apply to the organization hierarchy. An equivalent leave flow for Individual Teachers is not established in Phase 1.
Feedback & engagement
Is teacher feedback public?
Not by default. Feedback uses a tiered visibility model — submitted to EtDUCATION, teacher-visible, organization-visible, then public. Public reviews are not enabled unless separately confirmed. Duplicate submissions for the same eligible interaction are blocked.
How do points, streaks and badges work?
Eligible activities (including feedback, attendance, assignments, quizzes, learning completion, streaks and referrals) award configurable points into an auditable ledger. Streaks increment at most once per day. Duplicate awards are blocked. Super Admin can reverse invalid transactions with a recorded reason.
How do student referrals work?
Each eligible student receives a unique, non-editable referral code (and a link where enabled). Points are awarded only after a configured qualifying condition is met — not merely because a code was entered. Self-referrals and duplicate attribution are rejected.
Trust & security
How is data isolated between organizations?
Each organization’s data is tenant-scoped. Affiliated teachers never see another organization’s records. Individual Teacher batches are owned solely by that teacher and are not visible to organization roles. Students and parents only see batches or linked students they are authorized against.
How are sessions secured?
Authentication is token-based (JWT or equivalent) across all personas. Organization Admins can configure organization-level security policy parameters such as session timeout. Platform-wide defaults are set by Super Admin.
